Something about to disappear soon!


In Italy the Lace Art is an old tradition that should be disapperead in few years. But in any place is still possible to see the ancient lace women at work.
I shot this photo inside an old school of Lace Art in the centre of Rome.

Superb photo Joe, but I cannot really beleive that lace is going to disappear from Italy?!

Yes it is, young people in town don't practice embroidery! only in the province there are school and use of embroidery.

School of Lace Art - as sad as it is to see lace art disappear, it is such a time consuming art, I'm sure, like spinning and weaving. Great photo.
